Dinesh was educated in Fiji at Shri Vivekananda High School and Wellington High School the lead to his tertiary education at Auckland Institute of Technology, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1984 and practised as an Accountant in Auckland at Touche Ross & Co, merged with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, form Deloitte Touche Tohamatsu and now Deloitte. In his time with Deloitte he was in the Audit department in charge of various enterprises.

Being educated in New Zealand and his Chartered Accountancy experience with Deloitte in Australia and New Zealand Dinesh brings to Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation his vast retail and business enterprise experiences together with his years of association with various community groups in New Zealand.

He is the director to a number of companies and also advises small to medium size companies throughout New Zealand in his capacity as a Financial Advisor, in shaping business to the need of Financial Institutions, Banks, Companies office, and The Inland Revenue Department. Dinesh continued to practice as an Accountant with his family business and also practising as a Financial and Tax advisor to a handful of his clients, varying from farming, retail, motel, guest house and service industry.

Dinesh brings a considerable experience in dealing with people and his ability to communicate effectively in English, Hindi and Gujarati lending even a stronger dimension to Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation. He has been very prominent member of the Indian Community, and serving the needs of all Indians in New Zealand and now extending his role even further reaching to all ethnic groups here and in Fiji through Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation.
